LORLS is our online repository of module reading lists. Using online reading lists you can:

  • see availability and location of a book from the list in the library by clicking on the title
  • where there is an eResource link beside an item you can go direct to the eBook, journal article, journal title, website or Subject guide by clicking on the eResource link
  • see notes attached to items on the list e.g. if a particular chapter or page range is of relevance, if an earlier edition may be used, if the library has the Kindle eBook available on the library's Kindle eReaders, etc.

If you don't see your module reading list contact the Library at [email protected].

A reading list for a specific module can then be found in two ways – by browsing or by searching.

You can browse through the various award levels and programmes

  1. Select on your programme award level
  2. Select your programme
  3. Select your module

Please note

To go back a level do not use the Back button on your browser. Instead click on the earlier level you wish to go to in the breadcrumbs (as indicated by the red arrows below).

You can search use the search button as indicated above.

You can search either by Module code or Module title. We recommend searching by Module code. Then just click on your module in the results list.

Features of a Module Reading List

Once you have found your module you will see a list which may include books, journal titles, journal articles, websites etc.

Items which are available online will have an e-resource button which will link you directly to them.

If you click on a book title you will see further information on the book including class number, library holdings, book cover and a link to the book on the library catalogue.

You can also search for a reading list (books and eBooks only) on the library catalogue, Koha.

Simply enter your module code into the library catalogue search.

Your search results will be a list of all the books on that list with current availability in the Library.

Use the search box below to search the library catalogue. Enter the module code.
