Collections: Suggest Titles

As subject specialists Faculty members are encouraged to recommend materials which support the instructional needs of their program areas. Students, as the primary library users, are also encouraged to contribute to the development of the collection by suggesting additions.

The primary method for suggesting titles is to add a purchase suggestion to the library catalogue, Koha.

  • Search the catalogue first to make sure we don't already have the title
  • Choose the My Purchase Suggestions tab
  • Enter the details of the book/eBook you wish to suggest

Using this method you will automatically be notified by email at each stage of the ordering process: acceptance; ordering; and receiving.

Dawsonera also allows short previews to over 400,000 titles that we don't yet own.

You can suggest a title for purchase after you have previewed it.

Reading lists may be submitted by faculty or students by emailing: [email protected]

(Note - each list should be sent in a separate email)

Faculty can also edit their own online reading lists on LORLS.
