If you need a quite space to study, you can book a seat in the reading room HERE. There are 3 slots available: 9-30am-12:30 pm; 1:00pm-5:00pm and 5:30 pm-9:30pm. You can reserve only one slot per day. After you place a booking, you will receive a confirmation email which will include your seat number. Please show your reservation to the staff at the library desk before entering the reading room and ensure to sit at the desk you have reserved.
The Library offers a full schedule of classes which will be delivered live online.
Library classes cover the following topics:
- Evaluating Information - How to decide if the information found freely on the web is an academic source or not.
- Finding Information - How to search and retrieve information from the databases that the college subscribes to.
- Applying Information - How to incorporate the information found into assignments via direct quotes, summarising and paraphrasing.
- Acknowledging Information - How to reference the information used in assignments and how to avoid plagiarism.
Through the library website, you can also book a range of classes and workshops on the following topics:
- Computing Academic technical support, including: C#, Java, Python and Statistics in Data Analytics.
- Dissertation Support sessions, including: Literature Review and Research Methodology
- Digital IT Skills
- Numerical Skills
- Academic Writing
All the classes and workshops are free and can be booked using the same login as per Moodle.
