Receipts and Notifications

I like (early) New Order and the title is apt

We recently updated our library system to a more recent version and took the opportunity to make a small change to the way we do things.

We send emails to you - to your @mydbs.ie account - to let you know when your books are due at the library and when your books are overdue.

At the same time most of your borrowing and returning is done at our self-service stations.  These offer printed receipts., confirming that you've checked-out and checked-in material.  These receipts are made from thermal paper and can contain nasty chemicals.  They're not recyclable and are bad for the environment.  They're also left at the stations, in books and on shelves, but that's a trivial matter in comparison to their environmental impact.

Consequently, we're going to switch to paperless receipts.  Every time that you borrow, renew or return your loans, you will receive an email receipt confirming the transaction.  This is better for the environment and it will also have the effect of making the library look a little tidier.  If you're borrowing/returning/renewing now, you have the option of a printed receipt still from one of the self-service stations, but you'll also receive a receipt by email.  We will phase out printed receipts later in August.  We're happy to be going a little greener, but we will isten to your feedback on this, promise!

The receipts are still being tweaked.  This is the check-in receipt email currently

Nobody here is William Shakespeare and there's only so much you can do with these templates so don't expect too many changes to what you see.
