Vision
DBS Library will be a leading force in the creation of a library publishing culture in Ireland; publishing journals and monographs, teaching and sharing best practice, fostering networks and communities within Irish academia and internationally.
Mission
DBS Library Press is a centre for expertise in library publishing in Ireland; supporting academic discourse and pedagogy through the publication of peer-reviewed, open access journals and monographs.
Values
Openness: DBS Library Press is committed to any Open Access publishing model in which the author retains ownership of their work under the (CC) BY-NC-ND license.
Quality: DBS Library Press adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and to robust peer-review processes. Our journals can be found in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
Diversity: DBS Library Press publishes submissions from undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as from academics and practitioners. This inclusivity encourages scholarly activity and broadens academic discourse.
Collaboration: DBS Library Press works with authors and academics across institutions and countries. DBS Library is a member of the Library Publishing Coalition.
Innovation: DBS Library Press employs the latest technologies to ensure that our publications are fully discoverable with the widest possible reach.
