A report is a structured written document directed to a specific audience in response to some issue, event or problem (Monash, 2018).
Reports are based on research and frequently offer recommendations for action on the progress of a project (Curtin, 2015).
Reports are a widely used form of communication in the professional world and are therefore an important skill to learn at university (Deakin, 2018).
