Library Essentials

What can I borrow?

We have over 40,000 books and DVDs in the Library and Academic Hub, as well as over 30,000 eBooks, all available through our library catalogue.

You can search our catalogue here.

How do I borrow?

Once you have all the items you wish to borrow:

  • Go to the self-checkout kiosk
  • Place ALL the items in the designated area
  • Press “Borrow”
  • Tap your student card on the green square located on the right-hand side
  • Confirm if all items were scanned and their RETURN dates
  • Press finish

If you have any problems, please talk to one of the librarians at the desk.

If you are reading an eBook, you don't have to return them! When you read a book online you can use it as much as you want - no checkout or return required!

If you download a copy of the book, you will have 24 hours and then the book will not be accessible anymore until you download the book again.

Borrowing one of our DVDs is the same as checking out a print book!

Did you know that the library has a portable DVD player that you can use in the library? Check at the front desk to learn more about how you can borrow it while you're in the library.
