The reading room in the library serves as the main study area, offering over a hundred seats to accommodate students. It's a designated quiet zone in the library, where noise is kept to a minimum to maintain a focused study environment. Many of these seats are equipped with USB outlets, making it convenient for users to charge their devices while they work. Additionally, the room features several computers available for student use. Access to the reading room is easy and flexible, with no booking required, allowing students to find a space and start studying whenever they need.

DBS Library offers three group study rooms that can be booked by students. To reserve a room, select an available time slot and complete the form using your DBS email. You’ll receive a confirmation email once the booking is successful. If you don’t get this email, your booking was not processed. Only one hour per day can be booked per student, with reservations allowed up to two weeks in advance. If a room remains unoccupied 15 minutes after the start time, it will be made available to others. No food is allowed, and a €5 fine applies for violations.

The Unloading Zone, located at the back of the library, offers students a space to relax and unwind from the demands of college life. Taking breaks is vital for mental well-being, and research supports that it boosts productivity, energy, and focus. The Unloading Zone provides a variety of activities to help students recharge, including coloring books and pencils, puzzles, origami materials, Rubik’s cubes, and DIY supplies. It’s the perfect spot to de-stress and refresh before getting back to work.
